Why Nigeria may be fantastically corrupt under Buhari

President Buhari's fight against corruption is yet to yield dividends I wasn't surprised that President Buhari's media team would roll out every strategy, including lying to themselves, to defend the presidency over the damning assertion of the then British Prime Minister, David Cameron that Nigeria, alongside Afghanistan, was "fantastically corrupt." And I believe the senior special assistant to Buhari on media and publicity, Garba Shehu spearheaded that team. No doubt, it is their job defend the Buhari government including lying to the populace. It's a shame! What I find appalling, however, is the gross insincerity of Nigerian public office holders- a situation where black is called white and two added to five automatically equals twenty-five. The APC change conundrum and the future of Nigeria by Francis Onyema

President Buhari of the APC It is becoming very confusing to explain the "change" agenda of All Progressives Congress (APC) and the fact that politicians continue to orchestrate deceits in order to capture political power by all means. What is more confusing is whether the democratic political system presided over by President Buhari and his team is in the best interest of the common majority. Otherwise how would one explain key political decisions that aggravate the pains of the masses and heightens tension in the society? Political decisions, especially in a democratic setting, should reflect "the greatest happiness of the greatest number". Anything short of this spells doom. Many political decisions that neglected the happiness of the people recorded a form of reaction from the revolutionary forces in history. Muhammad Ali was the "greatest human" who ever lived by Francis Onyema

Muhammad Ali was handsome; a fighter and a religious man. He was a believer - he believed more in his abilities- and that, no doubt, set him out as a winner. Perhaps, the greatest lesson we can draw from the world boxing legend. Before that famous fight with Liston in Miami, Clay, as Ali was known before converting to Islam, in a pre-fight build up dubbed Liston "the big ugly guy" and boasted he would beat and donate him to the zoo. Many thought Clay's rant was out of fear as he faced a man who destroyed former "heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson in two first-round knock outs" but it turned out to be a show of believe. At the Age of 22, the man to be celebrated as "greatest human" shook the world and announced "I am the greatest." Clay had beaten Liston - a dominating fighter with a criminal past and ties to the mob - to be crowned the heavy weight champion in 1964. Muhammad Ali loved every bit of himself and was never intimidated by
